Kat has always had a passion for sports - boot camps, triathlons and open water swimming - nothing was off limits, except time. As a mother of two and busy with her career which at times included a 3-hour commute, finding time for a workout was a challenge. Outburst Fitness was born out of wanting and trying to have it all! By bringing fitness to the where you are it leaves time for family and other outside interests. Today, you can find Kat enjoying hikes with her family, open water swimming with friends and group cycling in a Outburst Mobile Fitness studio. Kat serves as President, CEO and Founder of Outburst Mobile Fitness™ tudios with her team servicing all around the San Francisco Bay Area. Armando Monge

Dr. Michael Mantell
Earned his Ph.D. degree at the University of Pennsylvania after completing his M.S. degree in clinical psychology at the Hahnemann Medical College, where he wrote his thesis on the psychology of obesity. He has served as Chief Psychologist of Children’s Hospital and Health Center of San Diego, and the San Diego Police Department. He has also been a long time member of the clinical faculty at UCSD’s Department of Psychiatry. He is the Senior Fitness Consultant for Behavioral Sciences, national presenter and a media spokesperson for the American Council on Exercise, a Senior Mental Performance coach for the AARP-ACE fitness transformation contest, and has served as Chief Behavioral Scientist for Anytime Fitness worldwide. He is a member of the faculty of Equinox Fitness Training Institute. He is a monthly contributor to IHRSA’s CBI, First Stop Health, and a number of other health and fitness oriented websites. He is interviewed frequently for health and fitness magazines including Details Magazine, Men’s Health USA and UK, Women’s Health USA and UK, Weight Watchers, Shape, Natural Health, Real Simple, Women’s World, MetRx, Better Homes and Gardens, MSN.news, Yahoo.com, HuffPost Live, and a host of others in the health/wellness/fitness world. CFO Joe is a seasoned finance professional having worked in New York and Hong Kong before relocating to the San Francisco Bay area. Prior to taking over the position as Outburst’s CFO Joe has worked with a multitude of private and public companies in his nearly 20 years in finance. When he is not checking the numbers Joe can found in the water, either in the Bay or in a pool or preparing for his next marathon swim. Having completed an English Channel, Catalina, Tahoe and most recently Farallon to Golden Gate solo swims, there is really never enough time in the water. Michael Aguilar was born in Hawaii and raised in San Diego. His love for fitness and the ocean has fueled him through his athletic career competing in both swimming and water polo. His lifelong love of aquatics and commitment to fitness make Michael a natural fit at Outburst. Michael is a recent graduate of The California Maritime Academy achieving a degree in International Business and Logistics. Michael’s enthusiasm for fitness and education brought him to the Outburst Team as an Operations Manager where he utilizes his skills in both Fitness and Business.

Jay Ridgeway
Curriculum Designer PacWest Athletics President and Co-Founder, Jay is a veteran USA Triathlon and USA Track & Field certified coach as well as certified personal training and master-level bootcamp instructor. He started competitive running at the age of 11 and completed his first triathlon back in 1985. He attended the University of Oregon and remains a competitive age group runner and triathlete having completed multiple Boston and NYC Marathons as well as Ironmans. He is a USA Triathlon All-American and recently represented Team USA at the 2012 ITU Long Distance World Championships in Las Vegas, NV. Gini Griffin
Gini is excited to be part of launching new companies and brands. As a participant in the pioneering days in Silicon Valley, she had the pleasure of launching Pac Man at Atari and one of the earliest laptop computers. She spent over ten years at Ziff Davis on leading computer publications before becoming president of PC Gamer, PC Games and then Upside Media. She has been at early stage companies like Markettools research leading online consumer brand research and also helping boutique hotel chain, Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group where she crafted their web strategy as well as other online business initiatives. If it’s new and exciting, Gini likes to be part of it and she’s very proud to be helping Outburst Mobile Fitness™ create a new kind of fitness that people will love. Michelle grew up participating in various physical activities and developed a passion for fitness. She decided to study human physiology and exercise science, majoring in kinesiology at San Francisco State University. Michelle loves running and has completed more than 10 full marathons, including the Boston Marathon. She also paces various half and full marathons throughout the year. She uses indoor cycling as a way to cross train, as well as stay in shape during the off-season. Michelle is Spin-certified through Mad Dogg Athletics, Inc. and is one of the Fitness Directors for the new San Francisco's Bay Are Outburst Mobile Fitness™.
Kimberly is a triathlon coach and group fitness instructor, dedicated to helping others reach their health and exercise goals. Over the past 9 years, she has worked with individuals of all levels, from those just beginning their fitness routine, to seasoned athletes searching for the next big challenge. She believes that above all else, staying fit should be about having fun and feeling good, so it is important to find an activity that doesn't feel like work!
Kimberly is a Powerbar Team Elite athlete and a member of Team USA, competing in triathlon both locally and internationally. An eleven year veteran of the sport, Kimberly will be competing as a professional triathlete in 2016 and is one of the Fitness Directors for the new San Francisco's Bay Are Outburst Mobile Fitness™. |
